SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - No. 4-seeded Regis (Colo.) smashed three homers en route to a 5-0 victory against No. 1-seeded Augustana (S.D.) in the first round of the Central 1 Regional.

Regis hurler Bianca Holley allowed just four hits in a complete-game effort. She struck out five to improve her record to 20-10.

Ashley Meyer pitched all 7.0 innings for the Vikings. She allowed nine hits while striking out eight batters.

Sara Baumberger had two home runs in the Ranger win. Natalie Adami also homered.

Four Vikings had hits with Kelsey Kalkman leading the team with two.

Baumberger began the sixth inning by driving the ball over the left field fence to break a scoreless tie. Adami followed with a home run of her own to give the Rangers a 2-0 lead.

In the seventh inning, Regis had two runners on when Baumberger hit her second homer of the game.

Augustana (S.D.) fought for a rally in the bottom of the inning, but Theresa McMahon ground into the third out, leaving three Vikings on base.
