OKLAHOMA CITY -- Annie Lockwood homered and drove in the winning run with a game-ending infield single in the seventh inning, giving top-seeded Arizona State a 6-5 victory against Florida on Friday night in the Women’s College World Series.

Lockwood smashed a one-hopper right at third baseman Kasey Fagan with the bases loaded and two outs. It bounced off of Fagan and toward the Sun Devils’ dugout, allowing Katelyn Boyd to score the winning run.

Fagan had already thrown out one Arizona State (57-6) runner at the plate in the inning, but couldn’t do it again.

Lockwood finished 3 for 3 with three RBIs. She also hit a solo home run in the fourth to tie it at 5 after Florida (53-11) rallied for five runs in the top of the inning.

Tiffany DeFelice and Michelle Moultrie hit two-run homers and Brittany Schutte had an RBI double in the Gators’ rally.
