WAYNE, N.J. -- Junior right-hander Michelle Schlichtig (Barrington, NJ/Haddon Heights) tossed her school single-season record 12th shutout, scattering just two hits while fanning 12, as No. 1-seeded Rutgers-Camden advanced to a winner's bracket matchup against No. 3-seeded William Paterson on Saturday at 11 a.m.

Schlichtig broke her school record for shutouts, having recorded 11 last season, while earning her 19th double-digit strikeout game for the Scarlet Raptors (34-6-1), ranked No. 4 in Division III.

Ursinus (36-9) will play College of Staten Island in the loser's bracket Saturday at 1 p.m. Sophomore righty Mallory Greene (Stowe, PA/Pottsgrove) allowed only three hits and two earned runs in dropping to 16-3 as the Bears saw their seven-game winning streak snapped.

Rutgers-Camden broke through for one run in the second on a run-scoring fielder's choice by sophomore third baseman Alaina Giles (Willingboro, NJ/Holy Cross). The Scarlet Raptors tacked onto their lead with two runs in the fifth after an infield error by Ursinus.
