DENTON, Texas – Texas Woman's scored four runs in the fourth inning and rallied from a three-run deficit to knock off No. 13 Angelo State 5-4 on Friday.

Freshman Kaylee Davis pitched a complete game and struck out six batters for her sixth win of the season. She allowed three runs in the second but settled down to shut down the high powered offense that came into the game with a .315 batting average and scoring 6.04 runs per game.

After a scoreless first, the Rambelles took a 3-0 lead on four hits in the top of the second before TWU got one back in the bottom of the third. Freshman Bailey Vrazel drove in the run to make it 3-1.

TWU sent nine batters to the plate in the fourth to take a 5-3 lead.

Sophomore Jordan Readicker led off the inning with her team leading eight home run of the season to the center field. Freshman Tori Gomez followed with a single and moved to third on freshman Katie Hines’ double. Freshman Kaylyn Vranich tied the game with a sacrifice fly then sophomore Lizzy Kelly followed with a two-run shot to the right center to put the Pioneers ahead.

ASU got one run back in the top of the fifth to make a one-run game. The Rambelles also put the tying run on first in the sixth and seventh, but Davis sealed the win by stranding both runners at first.
