HENDERSON, Nev. – With an impressive, six-run first inning, the No. 3 California cruised to a 14-3 win against No. 25 LSU on Sunday morning.

Cal got incredible bat performances from Jace Williams, Breana Kostreba, Jolene Henderson and Frani Echavarria — all of whom homered with all but Henderson’s jack coming in the top of the fifth.

After the Tigers put three runs on the board in the bottom of the third, the Golden Bears tacked on two more runs in the fourth. It was not until the fifth inning, when Cal posted a lofty six runs in the top of the fifth to get the mercy victory.

Williams led the way with five RBI while Kostreba knocked in four.

Jolene Henderson pitched the five-inning victory, allowing three earned runs on six hits while fanning five.

Mack suffered the loss after giving up six earned runs in 0.2 innings on six hits and one walk. Patterson pitched the final 4.1 innings, allowing eight earned runs on six hits and five walks.
