SALEM, Va. – Luther stayed alive at the Division III Softball Championship after defeating Ohio Northern 2-1 on Saturday morning.

Trailing 1-0 entering the bottom of the fifth, the Norse tied the game when All-American Shari Huber scored from third on a wild pitch. Huber reached base with a double to left center and advanced to third of a fly ball to left field by Kelsey Weindruch. All-American Kelsey Kittleson hit a lead-off home run to center field in the bottom of the sixth that proved to be the game winner. Kittleson’s home run was her 11th of the year.
