INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Committee has selected Shenandoah, Texas, as the host site for the 2013 NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships. Hosted by the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) and the Shenandoah Convention & Visitors Bureau, the 2013 championship will be conducted March 20-23, 2013, at the Conroe Independent School District (CISD) Natatorium.
“Securing quality championship sites years in advance has been a goal of the committee and we are happy to accomplish this with Shenandoah and the CISD Natatorium,” said Tom Till, chair of the Division III Swimming and Diving Committee and aquatics director and head swim coach at Goucher College. “We are confident the natatorium and surrounding community will continue to make the student-athlete championship experience an exemplary one.”
“We are thrilled that the NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships are coming to Shenandoah,” said Linda Woods, director for the Shenandoah Convention & Visitors Bureau. “The new natatorium, built by the Conroe Independent School District in our city, is one of the most modern in the state and ranked among the finest such facilities in the nation. We are naturally proud and excited to showcase the natatorium to so many others around the nation.”
