Clarion slips past Bloomsburg
Shull takes two individual events to guide Golden Eagles to win
BLOOMSBURG, Pa. -- Clarion’s Kayla Shull was a double winner on Saturday afternoon to lead the Golden Eagles to a 136-126 victory against Bloomsburg. Clarion raised its dual meet record to 4-0 on the season.
Shull won the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:56.10, while also taking the 200 backstroke in a time of 2:09.15. She was also a double winner in relays helping the Eagles take the 200 medley and 400 free relays.
Also earning individual wins were Morgan Oberlander, Emilee Gysegem, Madi Sewell and Courtney Bogue.
Oberlander won the 200 butterfly (2:12.46), while Gysegem won the 400 IM (4:37.74), Sewell took the 200 breaststroke (2:30.30) and Bogue the 100 backstroke (1:00.02).
Clarion won both relays including the 200 medley and the 400 free relay. The 200 medley team included Gysegem, Megan Burrows, Kelsey Slayton and Shull who posted a winning time of 1:50.78. The winning 400 free relay had Shull, Tyler Ness, Burrows and Anna McNurlan team up to finish in 3:37.18.
