AUBURN, Ala. — Top-ranked Georgia remained undefeated with a 133-110 victory against No. 6 Auburn on Friday afternoon at the James E. Martin Aquatics Center.

The Lady Bulldogs pushed their record to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in the SEC. They won their 17th consecutive dual meet and improved to 50-1 in their last 51 competitions.

“I thought we were very, very good tonight,” Georgia coach Jack Bauerle said. “The Auburn teams are deep and strong, and both of our teams got a real test. I thought our kids raced real hard and we had some spectacular swims. We’ve still got some work to do, but I see us getting better and better as the meets go by.”

Wendy Trott and Melanie Margalis were double winners for the Lady Bulldogs. Trott won the 500 freestyle in 4:47.07 and the 1,000 freestyle in 9:38.88. Margalis took the 200 individual medley in 1:59.04 and the 200 breaststroke in 2:13.56.

The Lady Bulldogs also got wins from Megan Romano in the 200 freestyle (1:47.05), Kelsey Gaid in the 200 backstroke (1:56.94) and Lauren Harrington in the 200 butterfly (2:02.41).
