VALDOSTA, Ga. – Eighth-ranked West Florida dropped to 3-2 on the season with a 7-2 setback against No. 5 Lynn Friday in a neutral-site meeting. It was the Argonauts' second consecutive loss and their first neutral site match of the season. Lynn improved to 3-0.

In doubles play, UWF was only able to clinch a victory at the No. 3 line, where Mike Lue and Lukas Larsson teamed to defeat George Laffey and Alex Voirin 9-7. Alessandro Sarra and Vlad Cirla defeated Argonauts Leandro Ferreira and Andrey Pozhidaev 8-4 at the No. 1 position. Domenico Sano and Jose Carlos Tolentino fell to the No. 11-ranked duo of Luca Pavanelli and Willi Wolfer 8-3 at the No. 2 line.

UWF went into singles trailing 2-1 and was only able to win at the No. 2 position. No. 20 Pozhidaev defeated No. 47 Pavanelli 5-7, 6-3, 10-8.

In other singles action, No. 27 Wolfer defeated No. 15 Ferreira at the No. 1 slot by a 3-6, 6-0, 6-2 mark. Sean Gunnels then fell in straight sets to No. 10 Cirla 6-0, 6-3 at No. 3 while No. 9 Sarra defeated Tolentino 6-1, 5-7, 10-4 at the No. 4 line. Mike Lue fell 7-6 (3), 6-2 at the No. 5 position to Benji Kendall and in the final singles slot, Sano fell 7-6 (2), 6-2 to Voirin.
