Wash U. ends two-match losing streak
Bears are 8-4 against nationally ranked teams this season
ST. LOUIS -- Washington University in St. Louis snapped its two-match losing streak with a 6-3 win over NAIA No. 24 ranked Lindenwood University on Friday afternoon at Tao Tennis Center.
Washington U. trailed 2-1 after doubles play, as seniors Isaac Stein and Max Woods picked up the lone victory, an 8-1 victory at No. 1. The Bears have now trailed following doubles play in five consecutive matches.
Washington U. cruised through singles play winning five of six matches in straight sets. Woods at No. 1, (6-2, 6-3), Parizher at No. 3, (6-3, 6-4), sophomore Kareem Farah at No. 4, (6-0, 6-2), sophomore Bryan Haywood at No. 5, (6-3, 6-4) and freshman Naveen Chadalavada at the sixth spot (6-2, 6-1) all posted victories for the Bears.
