SWARTHMORE, PA - The sixteenth-ranked University of Mary Washington men's tennis team defeated #14 Swarthmore College in the second round of the NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Tournament, 4-1, to return to the NCAA Division III National Championships for the third straight year. UMW got the match off on a good note, winning at number one and two doubles - matches in which they lost to the Garnet in their regular season, 5-2 loss at Swarthmore. The Eagles will play next weekend at UC Santa Cruz in Santa Cruz, CA, against an opponent to be determined.
