CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The 20th-ranked Tar Heels won the first match of their second consecutive doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon.

UNC faced Campbell, cruising to a 6-1 victory behind strong efforts from nearly every player.

The Tar Heels lost only six total games in doubles, winning the team doubles point for the third straight match to gain a 1-0 lead heading into singles competition. The fifth-ranked duo of Clay Donato and Taylor Fogleman fared the best, winning 8-1 against Davy Sum and Jeroen Kuppens.

Singles was more competitive as three of the six matches went into third set tiebreakers. However, Carolina pulled out wins in five of the six to clinch a 6-1 victory. The Tar Heels had straight-sets wins in singles from their most experienced veteran, senior captain Fogleman, as well as some of their youngest players, freshmen Brennan Boyajian and Luke Mojica.

UNC will face off with North Carolina Central for the second half of the doubleheader at 7 p.m.
