WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Lynn University’s fourth-ranked men’s tennis team shutout Palm Beach Atlantic 9-0 on Wednesday afternoon to remain undefeated on the year.  The Fighting Knights have not lost a set yet this season.

Opening up with a doubles sweep, the Blue and White (2-0) didn’t allow the Sailfish (1-2) to win more than three games in any match.  Julien Carsuzaa and Miloslav Navratil topped Krasimir Atanasov and Luke Bolanos 8-3 in the top position while Alessandro Sarra and Luca Pavanelli matched the result in the third spot over Nick Hines and James Buerkle.  Tomas Racak and Alex Voirin closed out the 3-0 lead with an 8-2 victory over Tyler Dealy and John Tilton in the second flight.

Three Knights posted shutout sets in singles play. Fifteenth-ranked Racak, Voirin and Pavanelli each won 6-0, 6-1 in the second, third and sixth slots respectively.

Navratil won 6-1, 6-3 in the fourth position while Sarra won 6-3, 6-1 in the fifth spot.

The closest match of the day came in the top position as fifth-ranked Carsuzaa battled Atanasov to a first-set tiebreak.  Winning 7-6(9) in the tiebreak set, Carsuzaa finished things off with a 6-3 win in the second frame to close out the Knights victory.

Lynn returns to action on Sunday as it hosts Flagler in the Fighting Knights’ home opener at 10 a.m.
