Despite trailing 2-1 after doubles play, Roger Williams rallied in singles play to advance with a 5-3 victory. After doubles play, Wilkes held a 2-1 advantage riding wins at number one and three. The Wilkes pairing of Chris Cozzillio (Harrisburg, Pa.) with Kyle Ungvarsky (Horseheads, N.Y.) pulled out an 8-5 win over Roger Williams’ Jeff DeNunzio (Barrington, R.I.) and Dan Kleitz (Wethersfield, Conn.) at number one doubles, while Wes McCollum (Harrisburg, Pa.) paired with Jeremy Nolt (Bloomburg, Pa.) to win 8-4 at number three.

Bolte lifted the Hawks to a 2-2 tie with the first singles win at number one, topping Nolt 7-5, and 6-3. The victory shifted momentum in the match, as Roger Williams took three of the next four matches to close out a 5-3 victory. The Hawks picked up the crucial singles wins from DeNunzio, Kleitz and David Lange (Great Neck, N.Y.).
Rohrbach was the lone Wilkes player to win a singles match, holding off Baker in three sets, while Katz was leading 4-0 in the third set when play was stopped for the Roger Williams win.
