ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. -The 11th-ranked Concordia (NY) men's tennis team defeated No. 29-ranked BYU-Hawaii 5-0, Wednesday evening in the Round of 16 at the Men's Tennis 2010 National Championships from the Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Fla.

With the win, the men secured a spot in the quarterfinals.

The Clippers, behind an impressive 8-1 doubles win from Thomas Dobrotka and Andreas Lindell, posted a doubles sweep of the Seasiders. The Clippers' No. 2 duo of Raphel Namias and Felix Missal contributed to the win with an 8-4 win, while the No. 1 tandem of Alex Grubin and Andrey Boldarev were 8-5 winners.

On the singles side, the bottom of the Concordia lineup provided both the points for the Clippers as Dobrotka defeated Miranda 6-2, 6-2 and Lindell put down Xing in straight sets 6-1, 6-2 to close out the match.

With the match secured, the remainder of the contests went unfinished.

The win puts Concordia (NY) in to the NCAA Quarterfinals on Thursday, May 13 where they will take on the winner of St. Edward's and Mesa State at 1:00 p.m
