Two-time Defending Champs Armstrong Atlantic State Down Kutztown, 5-0

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. - The two-time defending NCAA Division II men's tennis team from Armstrong Atlantic State moved into the quarterfinals of the 2010 NCAA DII Men's Tennis Championships with a 5-0 win over Kutztown on Wednesday afternoon at Sanlando Park.
The Pirates (30-1) will now face the winner of Barry and Drury in a 1:00 p.m. quarterfinal match on Thursday. Kutztown sees its season come to a close with a 12-5 record.
AASU jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead after doubles. Eudaldo Bonet and Paul Fitzgerald claimed an 8-0 win over Arijit Goswami and Cameron O'Donnell at No. 3 doubles, then Matus Mydla and Daniel Regan notched an 8-1 win over Jonathan Goulet and Karren Krout at No. 2 doubles. No. 3-ranked Rafael Array and Mikk Irdoja then closed out the sweep with an 8-3 win over Kaushik Das and Arpit Sharma at No. 1 doubles.
In singles play, top-ranked Irdoja defeated Das, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 1 singles, then Fitzgerald completed a 6-0, 6-1 win over O'Donnell at No. 6 singles.
