BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Fifth-ranked Lynn swept No. 27 Saint Leo 5-0 on Sunday afternoon at the Perper Tennis Complex in the NCAA Division II South Region Semifinal. The Fighting Knights improved to 18-4 and will take on No. 4 Barry in the South Region Championship Match on Monday, May 2 at 9 am at the Perper Tennis Complex.

The Blue & White took an early 3-0 lead with victories in all three doubles matches. Vlad Cirla and Alessandro Sarra earned an 8-4 victory against Matt Nicholson-Lewis and Victor Lozier in the top flight while Willi Wolfer and Luca Pavanelli ousted Aloua Adjenak and Jose Morales 8-5 at No. 2 doubles. In the third position, George Laffey and Benji Kendall defeated Tom Gleeson and Pablo Chavez 8-2.

Wolfer and Cirla won their singles matches in the No. 1 and 2 positions, respectively, to clinch the match for the Fighting Knights. Wolfer beat Nicholson-Lewis 6-4, 6-3 and Cirla upended Lozier 6-4, 6-2.

In the four matches that went unfinished, Lynn won the first set in three of them. 

Lynn and Barry split the regular season series with the Buccaneers winning the regular-season meeting before the Knights defeated the Bucs 5-0 in the Sunshine State Conference Championship Match.
