GREENWOOD, S.C. -- No. 7 Lander won two of three doubles matches and three singles contests to claim a 5-1 Peach Belt Conference victory against No. 17 Georgia College on Sunday at the Joe Cabri Tennis Center.

Lander improved to 13-1 overall and 9-0 in the PBC, while Georgia College moved to 17-4, 7-3. The unfinished matches were halted when Lander had enough points for the win.

In singles, No. 1 Paul-Henri Arrigoni of Lander did not finish his match against No. 48 Johan Wadstein, No. 3 Oscar Axelsson did not comlete his match against GC's Yannick Hass and No. 5 Diego Zegarra's match against the Bobcats' Mattia Campus was cut short. Meanwhile, No. 2 Vincent Verpeaux defeated GC's Andreas Ainalides 6-3, 7-6, No. 4 Adam Jonsson of Lander beat Alex Schubert 6-4, 0-6, 6-2 and No. 6 August Iwdal handled the Bobcats' Wictor Andersson 2-6, 6-3, 6-2.

In doubles, the No. 1 team of Iwdal and Jonsson defeated GC's Taylor Powell and Wadstein 8-3,  No. 2 Arrigoni and Verpeaux made short work of the Bobcats' Andersson and Hass 8-3 and No. 3 Ainalides and Schubert handled GC's Samuel Poutignat and Axelsson 8-2.
