ARKADELPHIA, Ark. -- Fourth-seeded Southwest Baptist upset top-seeded Ouachita Baptist 5-2 in the Central Regional 1 of the NCAA tournament. The Bearcats advanced to the Round of 16 for the first time since 2008.

The Bearcats started things off by taking the Nos. 2 and 3 doubles, with victories going to the doubles team of Domingos Carissimo and Daniel Cardona and Alex Belote Guido Margiotta to put SBU up 2-0.

Ouachita Baptist won the third doubles match of the day to put Southwest Baptist up 2-1 heading into singles play.

The Bearcats captured wins in three of four singles matches, with Carissimo winning in No. 1 singles, Kristof Kinal in No. 2 singles and Margiotta in No. 6 singles, as SBU finished off the 5-2 upset win.
