Lander shuts down Cameron in Round of 16, advances to quarterfinals
SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Lander advanced to the quarterfinals of the Division II tournament on Wednesday after defeating Cameron 5-0 at the Surprise Raquet & Tennis Complex.
Lander, which improves to 18-3, will next play Concordia (N.Y.) on Thursday. Cameron ends the season at 21-4.
After sweeping the three doubles matches, Lander got singles wins at Nos. 4 and 6 when the match was halted because the Bearcats had enough points for the win.
