Washington (Mo.) uses doubles points to down Coe 5-1 in NCAA regional final
St. Louis, Mo. -- Washington (Mo.) defeated Coe 5-1 in the NCAA Men's Tennis Division III Regional Championship held Sunday at the Tao Tennis Center. The Bears now made their seventh consecutive and 10th overall NCAA quarterfinal appearance.
Senior Adam Putterman and sophomore Ross Putterman posted a pair of victories for Washington U., which extended its winning streak to 16 matches. Adam and Ross Putterman are a combined 18-0 in postseason (conference, NCAA) play in 2013.
Washington (19-5) takes on the winner of Kenyon and Case Western Reserve in the national quarterfinals on Monday, May 20. The final three rounds of the tournament will take place at Stowe Stadium in Kalamazoo, Mich.
