Washington and Lee rolls ODAC foe

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Tenth-ranked Washington and Lee topped ODAC foe Guilford College 9-0 on Sunday afternoon in Greensboro, N.C.

With the win, the Generals improved to 10-1 overall on the season and a perfect 6-0 in conference play. Guilford dropped to 4-5 overall and 2-3 in ODAC competition.

The Generals got strong play across the board from outmanned Guilford. Washigton and Lee swept all six singles slots, with the top three competitors — Ashley Leinweber, Kerry Cotter and Claire Cahill — each giving up just one set on the day. In doubles action, Cotter and Leinweber did not give up a set as they won 8-0 at the No. 1 position.
