CLAREMONT, Calif. --- Emory University's third-seeded doubles team of freshman Gabrielle Clark and senior Lorne McManigle advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA Division III Doubles Championships, following their straight-set win on Saturday.

In Saturday's quarterfinals, Clark and McManigle defeated Middlebury College's duo of Brittany Faber and Leah Kepping, 6-2, 7-6, to advance in the tournament.

Next up for the Emory pairing will be the winner of Saturday night's quarterfinal match between the top-seeded duo and two-time defending NCAA doubles champion team of Kendra Higgins and Chrissy Hu from the University of Chicago and Lucy Marchese and Nicole Reich of Williams College.

In the singles bracket, Clark, the top-seed, fell 6-4, 6-2 to Kristin Alotta of Williams in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
