COLUMBUS, Ga.- The University of North Florida women's tennis team was victorious in the first round of the NCAA Division II Mid-Atlantic Regional on Friday, defeating Clayton State 5-1.

North Florida took a 2-1 lead after doubles as the teams of Yevgeniya Barysheva and Melanie Eng, along with Katja Brandt and Vanessa Sanchez came away with wins in the No. 2 and No. 3 positions.

Brandt, Julie Stoppelli and Robin Rogers earned straight-set victories in singles to wrap up the match.

The win places the Lady Ospreys in the championship match against the winner of the Columbus State and Erskine match. The match is scheduled for Saturday at Noon at the CSU campus.
