MORROW, Ga. – Playing its first match in nearly two weeks due to bad weather, the Clayton State Lakers shook off any kind of rust it had with an impressive 9-0 victory over visiting West Georgia on Friday at Laker Courts.

Clayton State, ranked 12th in the latest ITA Division II national rankings, has won three straight to improve to 8-5 overall. With the defeat, West Georgia slips to 3-10.

The Lakers controlled the match, losing only four games combined. In singles, Katie White (No. 1), Ivana Krommelova (No. 2) and Martina Dedaj (No. 4) each won without dropping a single game. In doubles, White and Marie Cercelletti (No. 1) and Charlotte Fabricius and Jessica Budd (No. 3) each won by shutout.
