FOREST PARK, Mo. -- Winning its second St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship in three years, Webster defeated Principia 5-1 on Saturday at the Dwight Davis Center in Forest Park. The victory earned the Gorloks a berth in the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships.  It will be the team's second trip to the NCAA tournament.

Webster took a 2-1 lead in the match after winning two of three doubles. Not giving any opening to the Blue and Gold, who upset the Gorloks in the 2011 SLIAC tournament, Webster won the first three singles to seal the victory. With the necessary five wins to clinch the match, it was ended with Webster leading, 5-1.

The Gorloks are 19-2 on the season and will await word on where they will land in the NCAA tournament.  First-round action begins on May 11.
