LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The Nebraska-Kearney women's tennis team saw its 2012 season come to an end with a 5-0 loss to top-ranked BYU-Hawaii on Wednesday in the Round of 16.

BYU-Hawaii will face Columbus State at 9 a.m. ET Thursday. The Cougars blanked Lewis 5-0 on Wednesday.

A seven-time national champion, top-ranked BYU-Hawaii improved to 27-0 by winning all three doubles matches and taking No. 2 and No.5 singles in straight sets.

This spring, no team has scored more than two points against the Seasiders in duals, including Division I members Montana State and Illinois State.

The Lopers (18-8) best showing in doubles came in the second spot where Candace Green and Britni Norfolk lost 8-3 to Yuan Jia and Marietta Tuionetoa.

In No. 1 doubles, Annie Hwang and Sherry Liu defeated Heather Connolly and Vanessa Gunawan 8-0. In No. 3 doubles, Nickola Messbarger and Tealyn Trimble fell to BYU-Hawaii'sMarika Kobayashi and Tanja Rebholz.

In No. 6 singles, Green did not finish in a 6-3, 5-0 decision to Marietta Tuionetoa.
