Middlebury’s Leung will face Emory’s Clark for championship

CARY, N.C. — Middlebury freshman Lok-Sze Leung has advanced to the title match at the 2012 NCAA Division III Women’s Tennis Singles Championship. She will take on Gabbie Clark of Emory on Saturday morning in the championship match. The two met back on April 13th with Leung picking up a 6-2, 6-3 win.

Leung advanced to the championship with two more singles wins on Friday. The day began with a familiar opponent, as Leung faced Kristin Alotta of Williams. The Panther freshman had little trouble, cruising to a 6-0, 6-1 victory. She advanced to face Mackenzie Knoop of Trinity (Texas), picking up a 6-1, 6-4 victory her semifinal contest.

Leung will be looking for her second title on Saturday, after winning this fall’s ITA singles title.
