ITAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. -- Junior Corinne Rauck earned a 6-0 win in the third set of her match at No. 6 singles to seal a 5-4 victory for No. 10 Washington (Mo.) against No. 24 Brandeis in the quarterfinal of the University Athletic Association Championship on Thursday.

After dropping the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles matches, the Bears were on the brink of going down 0-3 after doubles.

The No. 2 team from Brandeis was serving leading 7-6, but junior Theresa Petraskova and freshman Jamie Silverberg rallied for the 9-7 win to make it 2-1 in favor of the Judges heading to singles.

Washington took a 4-2 lead with wins at No. 3, 4 and 5 by senior Kate Klein, freshman Aly Coran and senior Paige Madara. Brandeis got a win at No. 1 singles and battled back to win in three sets at No. 2 to make it 4-4, before Rauck secured the win for the Bears with her three-set victory at No. 6.
