Middlebury's Leung wins two matches, eases into singles championship bout
KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Action continued on Day 2 of the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships as Middlebury’s Lok-Sze Leung advanced to the NCAA championship match after picking up a pair of wins on Friday.
[assetId:180491:2013 DIII WOMEN'S TENNIS INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIP ASSET]Leung had little trouble with Katie Cecil of Carnegie Mellon in the quarterfinals, picking up a 6-1, 6-1 victory.
In her semifinal match, Leung earned a 6-3 win in the first set against Jordan Brewer of Amherst, before battling back in her second set for a 7-5 victory.
Leung will take on Kristin Lim of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in Saturday's final, set for 9 a.m. ET.
