Some players are finishing their college careers, while a few have hit an early stride to make their way onto our list of four players to watch during the upcoming season.
Junior Nick Lebron is the reigning NCAA champion in the heptathlon. Last season, Lebron earned All-American honors in the decathlon, while taking All-Region honors in the 110 hurdles, 4×400 relay, long jump, 60 hurdles, high jump, decathlon and heptathlon.
Johnson C. Smith senior Andre Collins has taken the CIAA title in the 60m hurdles the past two years in a row and finished second in the 2012 NCAA Indoor Championship with a personal-best time of 7.83.
As a sophomore last season, Josh Edmonds was part of the NCAA champion 4x400m relay team, earned a third-place finish in the 400m dash with a time of 47.93 and placed sixth in the 200m dash (21.65).
During his first year at Adams State, sophomore Boris Berian earned USTFCCCA All-American honors in the 800m after winning the event at the 2012 Indoor Championship with a time of 1:52.19. Berian also received All-RMAC First Team in the 400m dash.
