Joiner paces Ill. Wesleyan as Titans win nine first-place events at Rose-Hulman
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- In its first meet in more than a month, Illinois Wesleyan returned with a first-place finish among the three-team meet hosted by Rose-Hulman on Saturday.
IWU competed against Rose-Hulman and Washington (Mo.).
Among the three teams, the Titans recorded 104 points, while Washington (Mo.) (91) and Rose Hulman (45) took second and third, respectively.
Illinois Wesleyan finished first in nine events including Jill Harmon's win in the 60 meter hurdles, Tara Clemens' victory in the 800 meter run and Allie Boudreau's top honors in shot put. Lauren Rock, Angela Herrmann and Kelli Herlitz added individual first-place finishes.
Freshman Nia Joiner paced the Titans with a pair of first-place wins in the 60 meter dash and long jump.
The team of Rock, Mallory Kirby, Clemens and Jenna Loynachan rounded out the top honors for the Titans in the 4x400 meter relay.
