OXFORD, Ohio — No. 11 Ashland wrapped up a successful weekend on Saturday, finishing second at the Miami (Ohio) Invitational.
The Eagles totaled 126 points. Host school Miami came in first with 176. Findlay (122) was third. The field included 14 teams.
Ashland received three gold-medal efforts. Drew Windle was first in the 800 meters (1:51.99). In the 100 meters, DeAndre Davis led the field with a time of 10.79.
The 4X100 relay finished first in 41.97. That quartet included Davis, Keith Cleveland, Brian Pongallo and Jordan Hoppel.
Cleveland was third in the 100 meters (11.00) and fourth in the 200 meters (22.10). In the discus, Cory Meuleman was the silver medalist. His best mark was 171-1. Chris Powell was fourth (165-0).
