PUEBLO, Colo. — Led by a provisionally-qualifying triple jump by Danita Wyatt, Colorado-State Pueblo opened its outdoor track and field season with the CSU-Pueblo Open on Saturday.

Wyatt jumped 39 feet, 7-1/4 inches to finish third in the triple jump and secure her first provisionally-qualifying jump of the year. 

She also finished second in the long jump and fourth in the 100-meter hurdles, turning in the top performances by a Division II participant in each event.

Freshman Krystel Martinez debuted in the discus, finishing ninth with a throw of 123 feet, 11 inches in her first collegiate attempts. 

Freshman Lacy Harris excelled in the pole vault, tying a school record with a mark of 10 feet, six inches, finishing fourth.
