Findlay takes fourth at Miami (Ohio)
Oilers’ Rowland hits provisional marks in all throwing events
OXFORD, Ohio -- No. 16 Findlay completed the Miami Invitational on Saturday. The Oilers came in fourth out of 18 teams with 67 points.
Jessica Rowland had a big day as she took second in the shot put with a school record and provisional toss of 47'01. She also broke a school record with a provisional heave of 160'03 in the discus and finished third in the javelin at 131'05, also a provisional mark.
Raven Clay scored a second place finish in the 100-meter hurdles with a NCAA automatic qualifying time of 13.39 and also added a fourth place finish in the 100 meters at 12.41.
Brittany Thomas finished third in the high jump at 5'01.75 while Laura Kelly and Pam Showman were sixth in the event with equal marks of 5'01.75.
The Oilers 4x400-meter relay team of Clay, Christine Zimmermann, Jhazmyn Anderson and Alexa Stults crossed the finish line in 3:52.48, which was good for fifth place.
