St. Augustine's women capture one win; men grab two victories at Raleigh Relays
RALEIGH, N.C. -- Saint Augustine's won the women's 4x400, the men's 4x100 and the men's 4x200 on the final day of the Raleigh Relays held at Derr Track.
The women's 4x400 team consisting of Akeisha Dumont, Nicketa Bernard, Cherrisse Lynch and Kelly Shaw finished first in 3:37.85. The men's 4x100 squad of Ramaan Ansley, Taffawee Johnson, Burkheart Ellis Jr. and Jermaine Jones was first in 39.75 and the men's 4x200 squad of Johnson, Daniel Jameison, Ty'reak Murray and Jones crossed the finish line first in 1:22.90.
The men's 4x400 team of Elhadji Mbow, Ellis Jr., Jameel Walcott and Josh Edwards was second in 3:07.54. The men's 4x800 foursome of Walcott, Torian Bailey, Jalen Robinson-McCoy and Marcelis Lynch was second in 7:30.63.
Dejon Wilkinson was second in the men's long jump in 24-3 and second in the triple jump in 50-7½. Johnson finished second in the men's 100-meter dash in 10.58, and Mbow was second in the men's 400-meter hurdles in 50.64.
Edmonds was third in the men's 200 meter in 21.14 and Murray was third in the men's 110 hurdles in 14.2. Brittni Finch was fifth in the women's triple jump in 40-8¼ and Christopher Dalton was fifth in the men's triple jump in 44-0.
