Springfield, the defending national champion and preseason No. 1, came back from a West Coast road trip to start the season with an  0-3 record. The Pride will look to rebound with its first two Division III games this weekend, starting with Lasell on Thursday, followed by No. 10 New York University on Saturday.

Sunday vs. Stevenson, vs. Ramapo
The Hawks, starting their season at the Roadrunner Invitational Saturday, return their entire starting lineup from a 2013 team that went 27-6 overall and 8-3 in the United Volleyball Conference (UVC).

No. 5 Baruch
Friday vs. VassarBarach heads to Vassar to start its season, coming off a season in which the Bearcats finished third in the country, having gone 34-6 and made the national semifinals.

No. 6 UC Santa Cruz

The Banana Slugs started its season with a loss at Division I UC Santa Barbara, but bounced back with wins against UC Merced and Holy Names last weekend.

No. 7 Carthage
Saturday vs. Quincy
Sunday vs. Lindenwood
Carthage was picked along with Juniata College as co-favorites in the Continental Volleyball Conference. Saturday's matchup with Quincy is the start to its season.

No. 8 Rivier

No. 9 Stevens Institute

No. 10 New York University
Saturday vs. No. 1 Springfield, York (N.Y.)NYU will start its season against top-ranked Springfield, which already has three games under its belt. The Violets were tabbed to finish fourth in the United Volleyball Conference preseason poll.
