LEXINGTON, Ky. -
The Golden Bears are back in the number one slot atop the AVCA poll. This time tough they are not alone, fellow NSIC member Wayne State is also ranked number one with 758 total votes. This will set up a rare match up this weekend as the #1 Golden Bears will travel to #1 Wayne State on Friday.

Concordia has ten first place votes in the latest AVCA Poll. Wayne State has 16. Minnesota Duluth is currently ranked third, followed by Tampa and then Southwest Minnesota State. This means the four of the top five teams are from the NSIC conference. CU has also beat three of the teams and will look for revenge against Wayne State this weekend. The Wildcats beat the Golden Bears earlier this season in the Metro/Regis Tournament in Denver, Colorado.

Concordia has a game prior to this weekends rematch they need to focus on first. Tomorrow night CU will host Augustana at 7 p.m. in the Gangelhoff. The Golden Bears then will then head on the road to face Wayne State Friday night followed by a rematch with Augustana on Saturday. Concordia will put their 66 match NSIC regular season win streak on the line.

Augustana is 11-12 on the season and 7-7 in the NSIC. They have lost six of their last eight matches. CU leads the all time series 10-1 and have won the last ten in a row. Krista Erickson is the only CU player that was alive the last time Augustana beat CU in 1988.

Wayne State is 21-2 in the season and 12-2 in the NSIC. They upset CU earlier this season when CU was ranked number one. CU holds the all time series lead over the Wildcats 20-8 and have won 19 out of the last twenty.
