CALIFORNIA, Pa. - In a rematch of last week's PSAC Championship Match, top-seeded Califorrnia (Pa.) registered a tough 3-0 sweep (25-23, 25-17, 25-23) over Lock Haven on Friday in the semifinals of the Division II Volleyball Atlantic Regional, hosted by California University of Pennsylvania. The Vulcans went from down 20-17 in the third set to win the match and advance to the regional championship match for a second-straight season. Junior outside hitter Joanna Nist registered a double-double with 13 kills and 10 digs, while junior libero Marta Hodge collected a match-high 15 digs. Freshman outside hitter Haley Gribler and senior Stacy Borgia each led the Bald Eagles with 12 kills each. The Vulcans will now face second-seeded Wheeling Jesuit in tomorrow's regional championship.
