UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio - CNU's greatest volleyball season ever came to a close Thursday night as the Captains fell to No. 2-ranked Wisconsin-Oshkosh, 3-1. CNU won the first set, 25-21, building as much as a nine-point lead, but could not hold off the Titans.

In that first set CNU took a 19-10 lead with effective blocking as Caitlyn Jansen had four solos and an assist. She also had four kills in the set. But the Titans took early control of the second and third sets, scoring 25-14 and 25-13 wins. With their backs to the wall, as was the case twice in last week's New York Regional, CNU would not go quietly. In the fourth set the Captains battled the Titans to a 19-19 tie, before Oshkosh pulled away for a 25-21 win.,

Jansen finished with 11 kills and 11 blocks, while Jessie Heavenrich, Chelsea McClure and Bailey Jansen added six each. Heavenrich also had 19 digs and 27 assists, while Abby Hogge contributed 18 digs and Cory Harris had 11. Wisconsin-Oshkosh is now 39-2 for the year.

The Captains finish with a school-record 36-7 mark.
