Emory Volleyball Tops Rochester in UAA Championships Action

The Emory volleyball team opened the University Athletic Association Champions on Friday with a win over the University of Rochester. The Eagles, seeded No. 1 in the Championships, upped their overall record to 28-4 (7-1 UAA) following a 3-0 win (25-19, 25-20, 25-12) over the eighth-seeded Yellowjackets who slipped to 14-17 overall.

Sophomore Breanah Bourque led the Emory effort with nine kills while contributing six (3-3) total blocks. Senior Amelia McCall totaled seven terminations and chipped in a team-high nine digs in the win. Junior Natalie Schonefeld dished out 23 assists while sophomore Molly Landers and senior Kelsey Krzyston each posted eight digs.
