Greep now two-sport coach at Wesley
Wolverines ask her to run women’s volleyball, softball programs
DOVER, Del. - Juli Greep has been named the head coach of volleyball and softball at Wesley College announced Mike Drass, the school's Director of Athletics.
"We had several outstanding candidates for position," Drass noted. "Coach Greep was the most qualified for the job and we are very exciting to have her as our next head coach in both sports. With past experience and success, Wesley College feels Juli can develop both programs into contenders in the Capital Athletic Conference."
Greep comes to the Wolverines after stint as head coach for both sports at Keystone College in La Plume, Penn. She coached the Giants' softball program for three seasons and spent two years coaching volleyball after the program's revival.
In her second year at the helm of the volleyball program, her team posted an eight-win improvement over her first season.
Her softball teams improved their winning percentage in each of her three years on the diamond. Greep's Giants won 38 contests in three years, more than the program had tallied the previous seven seasons before her arrival.
She coached eight All-Colonial States Athletic Conference student-athletes in softball, including two first team selections, and a pair of All-CSAC volleyball picks.
Greep's teams were successful in the classroom, as well, posting grade point averages over 3.0. A total of 19 of her student-athletes were chosen to the CSAC All-Academic Teams during her tenure.
A graduate of McPherson College, Greep was a vital member of that institution's softball program, having earned Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) post-season honors all four years.
While at McPherson, Greep was captain of the 2003 KCAC championship team. The 2003 squad, as well as the 2004 team set program records for wins in a season with 18. Greep twice earned KCAC All-Conference recognition as a pitcher, once as a First Team selection at first base and once as a utility player.
