Key Notes: Cook, the reigning Pac-12 defensive player of the week, helped lead the Cardinal to four-set wins against Notre Dame and No. 18 Duke in the Stanford Invitational last weekend. She averaged five digs per set, 0.88 blocks per set and 12.25 assists per set in the victories.

• Four top-10 teams battle this weekend in the Big Four tournament in Palo Alto, Calif. Second-ranked Penn State joins third-ranked Stanford, seventh-ranked Florida and 10th-ranked Texas on Friday and Saturday.

• No. 1 Cal has yet to drop a set this season. Sacramento State, Nevada, Texas-Arlington and Georgetown head to Berkeley for a two-day tournament.
