ST. DAVIDS, Pa.– No. 5 Eastern cruised to a 25-13, 25-8, 25-3 win against Wilkes on the road.

With the win the Eagles kept a conference win streak going that dates back to 1999. It also marked their 86th straight win against an unranked opponent.

To start the third set, the Eagles rattled off 18 straight points with Nikki Kummerer serving.

The 22-point margin of victory is the largest in recent records. The only other game that came close to this spread was a 21-point rout against Rowan University in September of 2008.

Courtney Reinhold led the Eagles with 17 kills in 26 attempts and recorded three aces. Katrina Pisch added six kills and Maria Horning added five kills on five attempts.

Several of Eastern’s players sat out of the game because of injuries. They hope to be back by Friday for a tournament at New York University.

With the win the Eagles improved to 11-1 while the Colonels dropped to 1-8.
