No. 12 Colorado Mines sweeps RMAC West Division leader Colorado Mesa

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Led by 16 kills from senior Jackie Stabell, No. 12 Colorado School of Mines posted a 3-0 victory against RMAC West Division leader Colorado Mesa on Friday.

The victory pushed Mines’ (15-4, 9-1 RMAC) win streak to nine matches, while upping the squad’s record away from Lockridge Arena to 4-0.

The Orediggers claimed the victory behind set scores of 25-18, 25-21 and 25-18.

Both teams registered seven service errors during the match, while Mines added three blocking errors to the total, but the squad posted a .265 attack percentage compared to a .162 mark by CMU (13-4, 7-2 RMAC).

Stabell posted her 16 kills on a .324 attack percentage while adding nine digs and one block defensively.

Senior Holly Hutchison recorded 10 kills on a .368 hitting clip and Sarah Pekarek logged nine on a .300 attack percentage to lead the Mines offense.

Freshman Danielle Johnson-Hazlewood added 33 assists and 11 digs for her sixth double-double of the season, while Hannah Margheim notched 10 digs to lead the back line.
