• No school from outside the state of California has ever participated in the NCAA Men's Water Polo Championship Game. This year's preseason Top 10 features schools exclusively from California, so there is good chance the trend will continue.

• USC looks to become the first team to win four consecutive NCAA Men's Water Polo championships.

• Last season's Peter J. Cutino Award winner, Ivan Rackov, returns to Cal for his senior season. The Cutino Award is given to the nation's top water polo player.
