• No. 3 Cal continues its quest for the program’s 14th national title when it hosts No. 7 Pacific in last regular season home match for 11 seniors on Senior Night. Then the Golden Bears travel to UC Davis for a non-conference tilt. With only three regular season matches left, including the Big Splash on Nov. 19 at Stanford, the Golden Bears are looking to finish strong for a high seeding at the Nov. 25-27 MPSF Tournament at UCLA. • The top-ranked USC carries an eight-game win streak into this week’s action, as the Trojans have a home stand and a road trip on the docket • Fourth-ranked Stanford men’s water polo returns to Avery Aquatic Center this weekend to begin its final homestand of 2011. The Cardinal hosts No. 14 Santa Clara Saturday at 12:30 p.m. and No. 12 UC Davis at 12 noon Sunday. Stanford enters the weekend on a roll, having won seven of its past eight games. Last weekend, Stanford earned a road sweep of MPSF foes Long Beach State and UC Irvine to put itself in position for a top-four seed at the MPSF Tournament, set for Nov. 25-27. |
