Tigers up five spots in Top 25
Cornell remains top team in nation, while Mizzou moves on up
The NWCA/USA Today Division I Team Coaches Poll for January 4, 2011, has been released.
Cornell University remains the unanimous No. 1 team. Rounding out the Top 5 are Oklahoma State, Penn State, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.
Penn State moved up from No. 4 to tie at the No. 2 spot for this week with Oklahoma State, after tying with Cornell for the team title at the Southern Scuffle.
Boise State and Iowa flipped in the rankings for the second week in a row, while Lehigh moved up to No. 9 to complete the movement in the Top 10.
The Top 20 saw some movement this week with: Oregon State, Missouri and Pittsburgh all moving up after strong recent performances.
The NWCA/USA Today Division I Team Coaches Poll Committee is made up of one coach from each conference. A number one ranking is worth 25 points and a number 25 ranking is worth one point.
A new poll will be released every Tuesday from now until the week of the NCAA Division I Wrestling Tournament and can be found at www.nwcaonline.com.
