TROY, N.Y. – No. 8 Cornell notched three wins at the Journeymen Northeast Duals on Saturday. The Big Red opened the day with a 40-0 win against Drexel and followed with a 17-15 victory agianst No. 9 Central Michigan.

Against the Chippewas, Cornell led throughout the dual but needed a major decision by Jace Bennett to pull away enough at the end. Bennett followed with Nick Arujau to produce a pair of pins to then led the Big Red to its final win of the day, a 25-13 victory against No. 12 Oklahoma.

Freshman No. 9 Nahshon Garrett went 3-0 for the day with a tech fall and a major decision.

No. 1 Kyle Dake was also 3-0 with a pin and a major decision. Dake’s fall came in just 2:00 against Drexel’s Charles Aungst.

Bennett notched bonus points in all three of his wins with two major decisions to add to his fall.
